1. Who these terms apply to
Train with Jane is the trading name of Verum Fortis LTD. These terms apply when you book, pay for, attend or take part in any Train with Jane class, 1-to-1 personal training session, online coaching service, programme or related service.
By booking or taking part, you agree to these terms. If you are unsure about anything, please email info@trainwithjane.co.uk before booking.
2. Adult-only services
Train with Jane services are currently for adults only. Children may only be present at a session where the service page or Jane has clearly said that this is allowed, and they remain the responsibility of their parent or guardian at all times.
3. Booking and payment
- Bookings are normally paid in advance and in full through Stripe.
- Some rolling services are paid monthly by subscription through Stripe.
- Card payments in person may be accepted where agreed, but advance payment is the usual way to secure a place or session.
- Your booking is only confirmed once payment has been completed, or Jane has confirmed the booking in writing.
4. Class cancellation policy
Class spaces are limited, so late cancellations and no-shows make it difficult to offer the space to someone else. Where you need to cancel a class booking, the following policy applies unless Jane agrees otherwise in writing.

5. Monthly class subscriptions
Monthly class subscriptions are rolling monthly payments that give a discounted way to attend regular classes. They are not a guarantee that every missed class will be refunded, carried forward or replaced.
- If you miss a class because you cannot attend, the missed class does not automatically reduce your next payment.
- Missed classes do not automatically roll over into future months.
- You are responsible for cancelling your Stripe subscription before the next payment date if you do not want it to renew.
- If a renewal payment has already been taken, it will not normally be refunded unless Jane agrees or a refund is required by law.
6. 1-to-1 personal training and coaching sessions
1-to-1 training and other coaching services are more flexible than group classes, but they still depend on diary space and fair use of Jane's time.
- If you need to rearrange a session, please give as much notice as possible.
- Sessions missed because of your availability do not automatically entitle you to two sessions the following week.
- Missed sessions do not automatically defer, reduce or pause the next monthly payment.
- If you arrive late, the session will usually still finish at the scheduled time.
- Jane may offer a rearranged session where reasonable and where diary space allows, but this is not guaranteed unless agreed in writing.
Where you have a genuine illness, injury, bereavement or exceptional situation, please speak to Jane as soon as you can. The terms above still apply, but Jane will always try to handle real-life situations fairly and humanely.
7. If Train with Jane cancels or changes a session
If Jane or Train with Jane cancels, materially changes or cannot deliver a booked class or session, you will not lose out for that reason. Depending on the situation, we will offer a rearranged session, transfer, credit or refund as appropriate.
8. Refunds and transfers
- Transfers are generally preferred over refunds where this is fair and practical.
- Refunds are normally returned to the original payment method through Stripe or the payment provider used.
- Payment provider processing times are outside our control.
- Nothing in these terms affects any statutory rights you may have.
9. Health, safety and participation
Exercise involves some risk. You are responsible for deciding whether you are fit to take part and for telling Jane about anything that may affect your ability to train safely, including injuries, medical conditions, pregnancy, medication or advice from a healthcare professional.
- 1-to-1 personal training clients are expected to complete a PAR-Q or similar health screening before starting.
- You should not take part against medical advice.
- You should work at a level that feels appropriate and stop if something feels wrong.
- Jane may ask you to stop, modify an exercise or leave a session if she believes continuing may create a risk of harm.
10. Photos, videos and social media
Train with Jane may take photos or videos during classes, sessions or events for social media, website and marketing use. We do not usually run photo-free class formats, so if appearing in photos or videos is a concern, please tell Jane before booking so she can advise whether the service is suitable for you.
We will use reasonable care and judgement when choosing what to share. We will not knowingly share sensitive health information in marketing content without separate permission.

11. Behaviour and respect
Train with Jane is intended to be a friendly and supportive space. We may refuse or end participation where someone behaves in a way that is unsafe, abusive, discriminatory, disruptive or unfair to Jane or other clients.
12. Liability
We do not exclude or limit liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence. Subject to that, Train with Jane is not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable, losses caused by your failure to follow instructions or disclose relevant health information, or losses relating to events outside our reasonable control.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page applies at the time you book unless Jane has agreed something different with you in writing.
